I forgot to mention; you can now contact me on Skype, should you ever have the need to talk about pianos or radio communications.. or satellites.. or apple snails.. hmm.. 8)

A Military Headset was aquired from Blochairn market. Quite a nice deal, I have to say.

I’d really like to use it for comms equipment and / or voip chat while playing “Battlefield 2″tm, for a slightly more realistic game.

I always thought the moon was made of cheese!

The “sugar boat” is what I have heard it called. Apparently sunk in the ’60s. It is clearly visible from both sides of the river Clyde, Greenock and Helensburgh, and apparently from space, too.

Since Derek Murray posted about Google Map’s new satellite imagery of Paisley, I found that the inverclyde area is covered as well. Cheers Derek.

The transferral was quite an ordeal - but of the kind that I really enjoy. Took 6 Hours. I’m tired now.

When a time server is more talkative than expected:

I ran across an entry on a wifi interaction project site, that discusses the NTP server, time.nist.gov. It seems to know more than the time.
