Thursday, June 30th, 2005Lost Track
Friday, June 24th, 2005When doing some disk clearing / archiving, I discovered an old MP3 format tune I made a couple of years ago. Thought I would put it online, in case anyone is interested.
Sugar Boat, Clyde Estuary
Thursday, June 23rd, 2005The “sugar boat” is what I have heard it called. Apparently sunk in the ’60s. It is clearly visible from both sides of the river Clyde, Greenock and Helensburgh, and apparently from space, too.

Since Derek Murray posted about Google Map’s new satellite imagery of Paisley, I found that the inverclyde area is covered as well. Cheers Derek.

Tiger vs Linux
Monday, April 18th, 2005Exams soon, far too soon. At least it’ll be over.. and it’ll be time to relax for a short while.
I have seen some nice instructions to enable xscreensaver load images from flickr; the script that is pointed to is written in perl. I’d really like to modify this script to allow the images to come from a tag, instead of from a user. (e.g. Screensaver = latest images tagged Glasgow) Ah well, in time maybe.
In other news, Tiger vs Linux - let’s see which will prevail in one-on-one competition : Tiger vs Linux.
Have you seen? Missing Cat.
Thursday, April 7th, 2005Offshore and wifi
Thursday, April 7th, 2005I had not realised that Offshore provide free wifi access. That explains the abundance of laptops that seem to be present in that coffee shop.
I’m writing this post on the ipaq, while I await the arrival of Chao, a friend from university.
How cool.
