Personal & Professional Relocation implemented

Hello from Shawlands.

I’ve moved flat, and changed jobs. Been a busy couple of months. I’m now back in the Boyd Orr building, ironically.

Soph and I have bought our first flat together, in Shawlands. We had been renting our flat in Fergus Dr in the west end for two and a half years. I’m sure our landlord was a nice guy, but it did feel a little wrong paying off his mortgage for him.

Some pictures of our new flat can be seen here.

Now I’ve got a permanent job, we could afford to get a reasonable mortgage, and make our first step onto the property ladder.

I finished working for Strathclyde Fire & Rescue after a fourteen month stint. I’ve now been employed by the University of Glasgow, in particular the Robertson Centre for Biostatistics.

Ironically I’m now working in the same building I spent most of my time in at University, the Boyd Orr building, though this time I’m up in the sky - level 11. I still see friends from my course around the Boyd Orr, since a few of them are doing Masters courses and PHD’s. That’s nice - I did miss a few of them.

Time to think about a new network infrastructure - I’m most likely going to implement hybrid of VOIP & POTS in the new flat, it’ll be interesting anyway.

Over and out,

Kenny
