That imposter; who’s he?
Who’s that guy in the suit?
Looks alot like me, strange.
I ask him who he is. He says he’s an MIS Analyst. Cool, I say, sounds like an interesting job.
“How come you look so familiar”, I ask him?
“Ah”, he replies, “That’s because I’m you”.
I’m a little taken aback here, as you can imagine.
“You’re me?”, I stammer.
“Yep”, the figure replies nochalantely. “You are talking to yourself”.
Ace! I realise the figure is telling the truth, and I’m looking in a mirror.
This scenario accurately describes how I’m feeling at the moment. It still hasn’t sunk in that I’ve even graduated from uni, never mind that I’m about to begin my career.
It has been a hard slog from graduation week, having applied for about 70 jobs. I’m quite surprised that the phone could still separate from my ear.
Now it’s time to put some problem-solving skills into practice as I begin my trek, my career.
