Prediction for IS3 2005

During the IS3 revision lecture, I took some notes. This post is a summary of those notes.

Disclaimer: They may be completely wrong, I have had to attempt to decipher my handwriting.

IS3:
(a) Search engine effectiveness (How to measure)

(b) (similar) Someone else’s view about how to measure effectiveness

(c) Given a website, evaluate it. The website was suggested to be www.direct.gov.uk
… maybe thinking about intranet/extranet usability..

(d) Extranet/Intranet usability

(e) Write a technical Report

(Again, maybe about how to evalute success of intranet/extranet)

    I’m curious: when they printed the past papers, did they fix the mistake in last year’s IS3? Because question 1(b) was so useful, they printed it twice.

    I remember hearing about that when it happened. In fact, the question is still duplicated on the past paper.

    This is loosely on topic: I just tried your 3D-browser by clicking on the tiny icon next to backlinks…

    Its quite an impressive (not sure how useful) visualisation tool. Quite ironic I found it when procastinating from… IS revision :)

    Blink and you miss it, this is IS in action :S
