60mph 1m from the ground…

Yesterday, I flew a microlight over central scotland. Cumbernauld airport (EGPG) to Stirling Castle, and back. The weather was excellent, though a little hazy, about 8km visibility according to glasgow airport ATIS.

Throughout the flight, we performed several exciting manouvers. We buzzed a field close to the ground, throttled the engine back and glided for a minute, and stalled to lose altitude, rapidly!

It was amazing. I want to get my private pilot’s license. Oh, and I was scanning for Wi-Fi access points throughout the flight.

    Nice, dude.

I flew a twin-engine plane from that same airport a few years back, up over the Forth bridges and so on. Fun thing to do. You can try out helicopters from there too.
